On Sunday nights, when I watch TV with the Mrs., I have found a way to also read the paper and pay attention...follow these simple instructions:
1. During 'Desperate Housewives', every time Susan Meyer (Terri Hatcher) comes on screen, read.
2. During 'Brothers and Sisters', every time Sally Field or Calista Flockhart begin to speak with a sad face over heavy orchestration, read.
Or, as many of my male friends have told me -- just stop watching those shows. Easier said than done my friends...
